Volunteer with TotSwap

Volunteers are the mainstay of TotSwap! Without our great volunteers, we would be unable to coordinate such an exciting event! Thank you for taking the time to consider helping us with our sale! TotSwap offers several volunteer opportunities.

Volunteers are asked to provide TotSwap with at least 4 hours of their time. As a volunteer you would be assisting us in the following areas… to help set up racks/shelving, check-in items, organize & help customers during the sale, handle payments, check out customers, and other responsibilities as needed.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A CONSIGNOR TO VOLUNTEER!

To sign up as a volunteer, please REGISTER and you will have the option to schedule your preferred shift online. You will not have to register as a consignor if you do not want to.

Don't forget that husbands can sign up to help too. We have several volunteer oportunities for MEN and we are in need of filling those volunteer slots. Duties may include set up of racks, security, and other duties as needed! Not only do you get the great benefits of volunteering, but you can meet some great people along the way!

Volunteer Benefits

Volunteer for ONE SHIFT, and enjoy the benefit of 1 PRESALE PASS, and have your consignor fee of $5 refunded to you after the sale. The presale pass gives you the opportunity to shop the sale before anyone else with minimal lines!
Volunteer for TWO SHIFTS, and receive 2 PRESALE PASSES and have your consignor fee of $5 refunded to you after the sale.
Volunteer for THREE SHIFTS, and receive 3 PRESALE PASSES and have your consignor fee of $5refunded to you after the sale.

Be a VIP TEAM MEMBER: VIP TEAM MEMBER are volunteers will be given the opportunity to volunteer for 1 or 2 shifts with the added benefit of receiving a higher percentage on their consigned items. In order to become a VIP TEAM MEMBER you must have volunteered for at least 1 shift at a previous sale and have been selected by our staff to receive this added benefit! The number of members in our VIP TEAM is limited, but we are always looking to add some hard workers to the team!!

**For our Fall 2008 season, we will be contacting our previous volunteers shorly so you will know who you are!

VOLUNTEER GUIDELINES

Please take a moment to review our volunteer guidelines prior to committing to a shift.

Your job duties will depend on the number of volunteers and where your help is needed. You may choose to work 4, 8, or 12 hours. These shifts can fall on the same day, or different days.

Please arrive 15 minutes before your shift begins in order to receive instructions. We have lots of shifts available and you can take turns with a friend….you can watch her kids while she works and she can watch your kids while you work. Then you can come shopping together!

Volunteers shop Friday at 5 p.m. Consignors, New Moms, and Guests with passes shop on Friday at 7 p.m. Please do not bring anyone who does not have their own presale pass. We cannot allow entry without it.

If you find it necessary to call and cancel or reschedule your shift, please do so 24-hours in advance of your shift. Volunteers who do not call will not be allowed to register as a volunteer for the next season's sale.

Volunteers are NOT permitted to bring children to their scheduled shift. Thank you for your understanding.

Please thoughtfully consider the commitment before requesting a shift.
