Do you work with a school or organization that is looking to raise funds? TotSwap is a great way to raise money for your group and families will love it!! It's a win-win for both the group and the families that participate.
There are 2 ways to participate:
OPTION ONE:
This first option raises the most money for your organization. You will need to have a few people to help out.
-
First get the word out to the parents within your group. Let them know that they can rid their closets of their new and gently used items to EARN MONEY for your organization.
-
We can help you to put together a professional flyer.
-
You will need to designate a time/location where they should bring their items well in advance of the beginning of the sale date.
-
Your committee would then price, tag, and hang all of the items that have been donated to your group.
-
Totswap will arrange a special time to check in all of the items for your group.
-
At the close of the sale, your group will be issued a check for 60% of the proceeds from the sale of your items.
-
You can either choose to pick up any unsold items or they will simply become the property of Totswap and will most likey be donated to a local charity.
This option does require some work, but if you can get a committee together to help, you could raise a lot of money for your organization. In order to qualify for this additional 10%, your group must be a non-profit 501c(3) certified.
OPTION TWO:
The second option will still allow you raise funds for your group without as much work.
-
Get the word out to the families in your group to let them know they can rid their closets of their new and gently used items to raise money for your organization.
-
Each family must register as a consignor. Through the registration process they would input a special code that would attach them to your group.
-
Each family would then be responsible for pricing, tagging, and dropping off their own items.
-
At the end of the sale, the family would receive 40% of the proceeds from the sale of their items and the organization would receive 10% of the proceeds.
This allows each family to make some of the money while donating a portion of the proceeds to your group.
